About Cook’s Homecare

Cook’s Homecare (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides non-medical home support and property maintenance services to homeowners, seniors, and families throughout Newmarket, Ontario and surrounding areas.

Services

Our services may include, but are not limited to:

  • General home repairs
  • House cleaning
  • Grass cutting and lawn maintenance
  • Snow removal
  • Leaf removal
  • Car detailing
  • Companion services
  • Seasonal property maintenance
  • Other home support services

All services are subject to availability and service area limitations.

Quotes and Estimates

Quotes provided by Cook’s Homecare are estimates based on the information available at the time of booking.

Additional charges may apply if:

  • The scope of work changes
  • Additional labour or materials are required
  • Site conditions differ from those originally disclosed
  • Additional services are requested during the appointment

Any significant pricing changes will be communicated before work proceeds.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For recurring services, payment terms will be outlined in the service agreement or invoice.

Cook’s Homecare reserves the right to suspend future services for overdue accounts.

Recurring Service Agreements

Certain services may be offered on a recurring basis, including lawn care, snow removal, cleaning, and companion services.

Recurring service clients agree that:

  • Service frequency will be agreed upon in advance.
  • Service schedules may be adjusted due to weather, holidays, or operational requirements.
  • Either party may terminate recurring services with reasonable notice.
  • Pricing may be adjusted periodically with advance notice.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes whenever possible.

Cook’s Homecare reserves the right to reschedule services due to:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Unsafe work environments
  • Equipment failure
  • Staff availability
  • Circumstances beyond our control

Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide safe access to the property
  • Keep walkways and work areas reasonably accessible
  • Secure pets when necessary
  • Inform us of any known hazards or safety concerns
  • Provide accurate information regarding requested services

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services where unsafe conditions exist.

Companion Services Disclaimer

Cook’s Homecare provides non-medical companion services only.

Our companion services may include:

  • Social companionship
  • Conversation and engagement
  • Assistance with errands
  • Light household support
  • Accompaniment to appointments or activities

We do not provide:

  • Medical treatment
  • Nursing care
  • Personal support worker services
  • Medication administration
  • Healthcare advice

In the event of a medical emergency, emergency services should be contacted immediately.

Property Damage and Claims

Customers must notify Cook’s Homecare of any concerns regarding property damage within seven (7) days of service completion.

Cook’s Homecare is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Hidden defects
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cook’s Homecare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services.

Our maximum liability for any claim relating to a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service.

Third-Party Service Providers

Cook’s Homecare may use employees, subcontractors, or independent contractors to perform certain services.

All service providers are expected to meet our standards of professionalism and quality.

Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to website systems
  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission
  • Submit false or misleading information through forms


We reserve the right to restrict access to users who violate these terms.
